📽 Stellan Skarsgård stars as a once prominent film director who hopes to recapture his successful career by writing a film specifically for his daughter, who has been estranged from him. The content hits a little too close to home. Beautifully cast and an emotional powerhouse, it won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. Skarsgård won a Golden Globe for his performance. The film received 8 GG nominations and just received 9 Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and Best International Picture.

📆 30th Anniversary - Save The Date 📆
cinéSARNIA has featured over 300 films since 1996, back when we were The Centre By The Bay’s “cinéSeries”. So for our 30th Anniversary. we thought this would be a perfect time to put on a party to celebrate our long history of bringing quality films to the Sarnia area.
Set aside the dates of April 10 and 11 for some exciting events in additional to our final regular film of the season (April 12 or 13). On the Friday evening, we will feature a special film. On Saturday afternoon, join us at a special location downtown for cocktails, appetizers, and trivia, followed by another film in the evening.
There will be limited advanced tickets available at a later date. We will keep you abreast with more details when they have been confirmed.
👕 Get some “merch”!
To celebrate cinéSARNIA’s 30th Anniversary, we’ve created a limited-edition 30th Anniversary cinéSARNIA T-shirt, a great way to mark three decades of independent film in our community. The shirts are $30, cash only. Orders can be placed at our next screening. We will also have a few on sale.
We’ll be taking orders up to our first screening in March, with T-shirts ready for pickup in April. So don’t wait until the credits roll. Place your order early and wear your cinéSARNIA pride like a true star of the show.
🍸 30th Anniversary Signature Cocktail Contest🍹
As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, we’re inviting our members and film-loving community to help create something truly special: our very own signature cocktail. Independent cinema has always inspired bold choices and imaginative storytelling, so we thought, why not let that same creativity shine in a glass? If you’d like to take part, simply write out your cocktail recipe and bring it to any of our screenings. Look for the Signature Cocktail Box in the lobby and drop your submission inside, no mixology degree required, just enthusiasm and imagination.
All recipes will be accepted up to our first screening in March, when our panel will review the entries and select the winning creation. The chosen cocktail will debut at our 30th Anniversary Gala and be featured throughout the evening, giving its creator full bragging rights and a place in our club’s history. So, start experimenting, get inspired, and raise a glass to three decades of independent film in our community. Cheers to 30 years!
