Hello cinéSARNIA subscribers,
This is a momentous weekend. Along with the final film of our regular season, we are showing two special presentations for “One show only” on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday night at 7:00 pm, we are showing the cult hit “Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie”. Everyone is talking about it.
Then on Saturday night at 6:30 pm cineSarnia is presenting “Nuremberg”, starting Russell Crowe as Hermann Goering.
Tickets for either of these two films will be available on our website via credit card, and at the door for cash, for a bonus price of only $10.
Prior to that film, many members have purchased tickets for our 30th Anniversary Gala reception. Sorry but tickets are no longer being sold and not available at the restaurant. This will include a terrific Trivia Contest, with great prizes donated by our community partners.
Then to wrap up our season, this Sunday and Monday is our next film, “Little Lorraine”. When a miner in Cape Breton has to find a new way to make ends meet for his family, his uncle’s lobster fishing job turns out to be something more than he bargained for. More info below.
Come celebrate our 30th season of bringing great films to Sarnia.

📽 🎹 Our next film
Little Lorraine
Showings:
Sunday, April 12 @ 2 pm
Monday, April 13 @ 7 pm
cinéSARNIA is bringing this film to Sarnia BEFORE it will be available for general release!
Sometimes you have to choose between doing the right thing for your family and doing the right thing.
Can you imagine funeral directors transporting cocaine in caskets?

Set in the mid-1980s in a small seaside town in Nova Scotia, Little Lorraine follows a laid-off miner who, desperate to support his family after a mining disaster, is drawn into a dangerous cocaine smuggling ring hidden in plain sight. What begins as a lifeline quickly spirals into an international crime operation, testing loyalty, survival, and the bonds of community in a place pushed to its limits.
📆 30th Anniversary 📆
cinéSARNIA is celebrating their 30th Anniversary April 10 and 11.

FRIDAY, APRIL 10 @ 7:00 PM
🎆 Nirvanna: The Band, The Show, The Movie

We are featuring a smart, funny, time-travelling satire, “Nirvanna: The Band - The Show - The Movie”. (By the way, it’s not THAT Seattle band.)
Follow these wannabe musicians who just want to headline at their favourite club. How far “back to the future” will they go? It’s a love letter to Toronto, that blends nostalgia, self-mockery, and absurdity into an unexpectedly reflective portrait of friendship and unrealized dreams. 96% audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
I can’t believe Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie exists — a wildly ambitious, laugh-out-loud time-travel comedy that feels like pure indie filmmaking chaos (in the best way). Won’t work for everyone, but if it hits, it’s absolute theatrical joy. Cinema in its purest, Canadian form.
Tyler P.
You are lucky that this film is coming to Sarnia from us as it’s not available at the local Cineplex. It’s not the kind of film we usually bring, but we know many people will enjoy it. It’s hilarious, heartfelt, and accessible — although not for everyone, it’s perfect for anyone who loves a good adventure story and a good laugh. Just come along for the rollercoaster ride. Have fun with it and you will be rewarded with joy. You’re going to come out wondering “How did they get away with all that?”.
SATURDAY, APRIL 11 @ 6:30 PM
🎆 Nuremberg

At 6:30 pm, we are presenting “Nuremberg”, starring Russell Crowe and Rami Malek. It’s a gripping moral showdown—where justice itself is put on trial. As the Nuremberg trials are set to begin, a U.S. Army psychiatrist gets locked in a dramatic psychological duel with accused Nazi war criminal Hermann Göring.
Audiences have given it 95% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Here is one review, for example:
Incredible movie! I really found it’s quite terrifying. The connection in the last part of the movie and how the correlations were made between what they did leading up to World War II and the events of today and what men will do to achieve power.
